San Francisco Luxury at Its Finest

Convenient Nob Hill Location

Are you having trouble finding a luxury hotel at an affordable price in the heart of San Francisco? Well, you’re in luck because the Fairmont San Francisco offers both opulence and an ideal location without busting your budget. Whether you’re in town for business or pleasure, the Fairmont is the perfect stay and is centrally located in San Francisco’s historic Nob Hill neighborhood.

Explore the Neighborhood by Foot or Dine In

There are tons of activities and plenty of sightseeing to do just steps away from the Fairmont. For starters, the Nob Hill neighborhood is filled with gorgeous architecture, so a relaxing self-guided walking tour of the area is a great option. Huntington Park and St. Mary’s Square are a few blocks away from the hotel grounds and offer wanderers a quiet break from the city.

If you’re looking for quintessential San Francisco activities, then the city’s popular Chinatown is just north of the hotel. While there, you can immerse yourself in Chinese culture and satisfy your appetite at one of the district's many authentic restaurants. For a step back into the history of San Francisco transportation, the Cable Car Museum is only two blocks north of the hotel as well.

Although there’s plenty to do in the city, the Fairmont offers its guests top notch services and amenities. The hotel has its very own health club complete with strength training equipment and Technogym cardio equipment. When your workout is over, you can relax and enjoy yourself in the hotel’s worldclass day spa.

After you’ve worked up an appetite, you can take advantage of the Fairmont’s many dining options. The Tonga Room is a tiki bar inspired restaurant that offers delicious Asian cuisine. There’s also the Laurel Court Restaurant, which is known for its dry-aged steaks and fresh seafood entrées. All the restaurants at the Fairmont source their herbs from the hotel’s culinary garden, which is located on the lobby level.

For the Best Rates, Choose the Guest Rooms

Each of the hotel’s 591 guests rooms and suites offer gorgeous views of the surrounding neighborhood. If you want to keep your luxury stay as affordable as possible, the Fairmont’s guest rooms are generally more affordable than its suites and specialty rooms. There are a number of guest room options available, from the low-cost Fairmont Room with views of the interior courtyard, all the way to the pricier Deluxe Room with views of the San Francisco Skyline. There are only 62 suites and specialty rooms in the hotel, and prices for these sought-after accommodations are typically higher than the standard rooms.

The Bottom Line

This exquisite hotel puts luxury first and offers guests an array of accommodations that are sure to fit any budget. Other hotels nearby, such as the Omni San Francisco and the Intercontinental San Francisco, have similar amenities and rates, but the Fairmont San Francisco far exceeds expectations with its ideal location and welcoming atmosphere.

The Fairmont combines the history, cachet, and decor of a turn-of-the-20th-century grand old dame with the amenities, technology, and corporate-dominated clientele of a large chain property.
The Telegraph
Opened in 1907 on the top of Nob Hill, The Fairmont is a decadent and opulent hotel that's still one of the best places to stay for anyone visiting this great city. Don’t miss a Mai Tai...
