More About Hotels near Glen Park...

An Easy Public Transportation System

San Francisco is known for its public transportation. The city's hills don't prevent anyone from walking the streets to get around, and when your destination is too far for walking, Muni transit offers buses, streetcars, cable cars, and the Muni Metro Light Rail. They even offer a mobile app to help plan your route through the city.

Glen Park is a small neighborhood, and if you want to stay directly within it your best bet is an Airbnb. However, several affordable hotels are within a few minutes of the neighborhood and quite accessible via public transportation. Stay for cheap at the El Capitan Hotel or at Hotel Tropica to be between Glen Park and bustling Union Square. A BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station serves Glen Park at Diamond Street, making getting to and from this neighborhood easy.

Visit in Late Summer

San Francisco temperatures are very consistent throughout the year, so it's always a good time to visit. Daily average highs only vary between about 57 in the winter to about 70 in the summer. The city receives almost no rain during the summer, and its warmest month is September, so late summer is an especially great time to visit. Pamper yourself a little, no matter the time of year, by staying in the luxury apartment rentals of Casa Luna San Francisco Castro, which you can book like hotels, but with more personal amenities.

Glen Park has a wonderful Village Farmer's Market which runs every Sunday from late March to late November, so if you're planning to spend some time in Glen Park, time your visit to coincide with the Farmer's Market. It sits right in the BART station parking lot, and you can celebrate the season by sampling local fruits and vegetables.
