Towering Over the Competition with a Spectacular View

Towering over the Bay area, the Hilton San Francisco Downtown/Financial District is close to North Beach's Italian shops, the Exploratorium, Chinatown, and the Financial District. Within a 15 minute walk, you can reach the Wharf, the convention center, the Tenderloin district, and Union Square. Instead of spending all your time in a taxicab trying to get around, opt to take a short walk, and save time and money. If you're ready to get on the water, kayaking, scuba diving, surfing, and sailing are all nearby.

If going further afield, the hotel is located a few blocks away from the Montgomery Station on the BART. The Gray Line open top tour bus stops outside, making it easy to take a classic tour of San Francisco. There's even a complimentary downtown town car service offered by the Hilton to make getting around easier, and a shuttle service will whisk you to the surrounding airports (including SFO, OAK, and SJC).

It's HOW tall...?

At 27 floors tall, the Hilton offers a 360-degree view of the San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz, and plenty more. The state-of-the-art fitness center is open 24/7 and offers a stationary bike, treadmill, and elliptical machine. Check out the Flyte Coffee and wine bar, meeting facilities, and a 24-hour business center. Wi-fi and wired internet are available in your room to help you plan your vacation or get some work done. If you're near the Financial District to hold a meeting, the hotel's meeting rooms offer up natural light to keep you from feeling stuck in a box.

When you're ready to eat, the 750 Restaurant & Bar inside the hotel offers Asian-inspired regional cuisine. While there are plenty of options close to the hotel, check out the Alfred Steakhouse, the Seven Fifty (Mediterranean), and the Garden Restaurant (Chinese).

Take in the Room's Luxury

The four-star, 542-room hotel comes complete with floor-to-ceilling windows to show off the awesome view. Some visitors have reported the sunset seen from a higher floor as the highlight of their stay. Hypo-allergenic bedding is available on request, and rooms with refrigerators are available as well. Expect to find Serenity Beds by Hilton, Peter Thomas Roth bath products, granite countertops, and a large work desk. In short, arriving at your room means arriving into luxury with no detail overlooked.

For an even better time, upgrade to one of the hotel's Junior or Presidential suites for a larger, 42" flat-screen TV, bathrobes, slippers, and access to the Executive Lounge on the 26th floor, which is open 24/7 as well. The Presidential Suite comes with even more space to stretch out.

The Bottom Line

If you're looking to stay in the financial district of San Francisco, the Hilton brand name delivers. It has a better range of offerings than the Omni San Francisco Hotel, closer to attractions than the Inn at Union Square, and cheaper than the Fairmont Heritage Place.

The 27-story tower boasts stunning city views and the rooms, while still a little on the small side, are exquisitely equipped for both business travelers and families.
The 549-room Hilton Financial District still feels fresh, and its great beds, up-to-date electronics, and nice bay views from select rooms make it great for business travelers.
This upscale hotel geared toward the needs of the business traveler is a good choice for anyone seeking a convenient downtown location perfect for forays into Chinatown, North Beach, and beyond.
