The sports facility known as Kezar Stadium dates back to the 1920s when the estate of Mary Kezar donated $100,000 to the San Francisco Park Commission. After the city appropriated additional funds, the stadium was constructed within a year and held its opening ceremony in 1925. Since its inception, Kezar Stadium has hosted many historic events, including the filming of several “Dirty Harry” scenes. The stadium is part of the massive Golden Gate Park.
