Walk around San Francisco - then walk back to your hotel!

Whether you're coming to San Francisco for Alcatraz, Ghirardelli Square, or the historic cable cars, you're in the middle of it all at the Radisson Hotel Fisherman's Wharf. Also within walking distance is the world-famous shopping, dining, and entertainment at Pier 39. If you'd rather spend your time sporting, there are opportunities to go sailing, biking, segwaying, and fishing nearby. A block away is the waterfront embarcadero, THE area where locals run, skate, or walk while taking in the sea air. Chinatown is also just about a mile away.

Swim, work out or relax in front of the fireplace?

The hotel's courtyard lounge comes complete with a firepit - a perfect place to relax without leaving the hotel. Swim in the heated outdoor pool, which comes complete with a sundeck with chaise lounges. Alternatively, get sweaty in the fitness center, which is open 24/7 and offers cardio equipment and free weights. If you need more, walk one block to a full-service 24-hour health club. There's an airport shuttle to get you from the Radisson, and some retail stores on the first floor as well. If you need to get business done, a business center and airline check-in kiosk with printer are available.

Eat well

The hotel doesn't have a restaurant inside, but IHOP, Johnny Rockets, Hot Spud, and an organic ice cream parlor are adjacent to the hotel. For a bit more variety, head to the Pier Market for an award-winning, sustainably sourced seafood restaurant. The Wipeout Bar & Grill has a wide menu and is located right on Pier 39. The Fog Harbor Fish House, an environmentally conscious restaurant with plenty of fresh seafood, is also on Pir 39. If you're ready to party, the Hard Rock Cafe San Francisco promises to keep you rocking.

Don't go to sleep just yet!

The three-star, 355 room hotel is pet-friendly and offers some wonderful, unobstructed views of the Bay and Alcatraz Island from their Bayview Rooms. All rooms feature 37 inch flat screen TVs, free wi-fi, and plenty of oversized pillows. Set your iPhone or iPad in the iHome clock radio with docking station, help the earth by using the recycling bin, and choose your Sleep Number on your bed. Ask for a higher room for an awesome view!

Plenty of upgrades are available, naturally. Upgrade to a Courtyard Room with a refrigerator and private balconies, giving you a chance to enjoy the outdoors steps away from your room. There's also Business Class rooms, which offer more electricity outlets, an in-room laptop safe, a spacious work desk, and early check-in.

The Bottom Line

The Radisson is the only hotel located directly on Fisherman’s Wharf, giving you the best possible location and views. It has better amenities than the Wharf Inn and the Best Western, is cheaper than the Argonaut Hotel, and offers as much space as the more expensive Suites at Fisherman's Wharf.

You can't get much closer to the water than the Radisson Hotel Fisherman's Wharf. The property sits on a pier overlooking San Francisco Bay.

With a knockout pool area and direct access from the hotel grounds to the waterfront in Fisherman's Wharf, the Radisson is as family-friendly as a San Francisco hotel gets.
