More About Hotels near Bandelier National Monument...

Budget Friendly Views

If you want to stay close to Bandelier National Monument your best bet is one of the hotels in Los Alamos, a tiny town just 12 miles away. Holiday Inn Express has the best views but Hampton Inn is closer and a little cheaper. Other lodging options include Best Western Hilltop House, Comfort Inn, and North Road Inn.

Experiencing and Hiking Bandelier National Monument

With the exception of six "fee free" days you'll pay a small fee to enter the park, located just off New Mexico 4. Getting in is generally quick but lines are often long at the caves. There are many caves so just skip to another.

You'll find acres of hiking trails that have been left just as they were when ancient people walked along them. Be prepared though, Bandelier National Monument weather can change almost instantaneously when a thunderstorm rolls in.

For optimal weather go in the early autumn. There is less chance of rain and the temperatures are just right.
