What’s the Owen-Thomas Museum?

Once a beautiful home that reflected English Regency architecture in America, the Owen-Thomas Museum is now a museum that houses art and furnishings from 1750 to 1830. It was first owned by George Welshman Owens in 1830, but in 1951, Margaret Thomas (Owens’ granddaughter) donated it to the Telfair Museum of Art. The area is also home to a garden, carriage house, and gift shop.
