More About Hotels near Chaparral Lake...

Reasonably Priced Hotels

Choose from over a dozen hotels within a few miles of Chaparral Lake. The Courtyard Scottsdale Salt River to the east is only half a mile from Talking Stick Golf Course. FireSky Resort & Spa offers amazing deals in the off-season, so book a room during July or August - you’ll have enough money left over to treat yourself to a spa day. Hotel Valley Ho is a stylish resort that won’t break your bank. You’ll love the updated version of this 1950s Hollywood retreat.

The transportation system in this valley makes hopping from one attraction to another a breeze. The airport is only 12 miles away, so you'll be in vacation mode in no time. These hotels are so wonderful that you may never want to leave the property. If you do venture beyond the hotel pool, you can take a hike, go for a bike ride, try rock climbing, or go on a Jeep tour through the desert.

Go Green and Save

Chaparral Lake sits at the southern end of Chaparral Park and covers 10 acres. The maximum depth is 15 feet, which is one of the reasons Chaparral Lake fishing is so good. Arizona Game & Fish keep the lake stocked throughout the year with rainbow trout, largemouth bass, sunfish, catfish (channel and flathead), tilapia, and carp. Check out their website to buy a fishing license for the adults in your group before you go.

Kayaks and canoes are welcome, but gas-powered boats are not permitted. Take a hike on the greenbelt’s 11 miles of hiking and biking trails that run through Chaparral Park. Spread a blanket under a shady tree and delight in a lazy afternoon picnic.

Luxury on a Shoestring Budget

You know it gets extremely hot in Scottsdale during the summer, but that’s when the coolest hotel deals pop up. Don’t let the heat discourage you from booking your trip. Your hotel does have a pool and Chaparral Lake is just around the corner. You’ll save money on transportation too. A one-way bus fare is only $2 and an all-day pass is $4.
