Green Lake started from a glacial runoff hundreds of year ago. Located in north central Seattle, Wash., it's a popular place to visit for boating, swimming, canoeing, and kayaking. A 2.8-mile walk surrounds the lake. The number of restaurants, grocery stores, schools, and parks has increased as the area's new home developments have grown. The neighborhood has blossomed over the past 15 years. It is now home to upper-class urban singles and families with high incomes.
