Affordable Spa Oasis in Seoul, South Korea

Set on Mount Namsan and surrounded by 18 acres of waterfalls and gardens, the Grand Hyatt Seoul is just a ten-minute drive from downtown Seoul and Myeong-dong Shopping District. The Grand Hyatt Seoul offers a calm oasis for guests but it is conveniently close to the hustle and bustle of Seoul, combining the best of both worlds.

Luxe Rooms with Panoramic Views

Guest rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows with city, river, or mountain views. Beds come with premium mattresses for maximum comfort. Relax in your room with a drink from the minibar or a snack from the refrigerator, and your favorite show on the in-room satellite TV and DVD player. Complimentary in-room wired and wireless Internet access makes it easy to stay in touch. Keep belongings safe in the in-room safe deposit box. Enjoy some relaxation in your plush robe and put your feet up in the room's sitting area to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea with a complimentary newspaper.

Many Recreational Activities On Site and Nearby

At the foot of Mount Namsan is Namsan-Gol Traditional Village, a place where you can experience the feel of the ancient Joseon dynasty (1392-1910). Visit the five traditional Korean houses that were restored and relocated to this site, ranging from the residences of high government officials to commoners in remembrance of Korea’s heritage.

You don't have to leave the hotel to have a good time. The hotel's recreation center, Club Olympus, includes both indoor and outdoor pools, a skating rink that is open during the winter months, tennis courts, and a gym. Enjoy a massage or other treatment at the onsite spa, which has 14 treatment rooms.

Numerous dining and entertainment options are also on site, including a shopping arcade. Dine at any one of the many onsite eateries including The Paris Grill, The Chinese Restaurant, Akasaka -- which serves Japanese cuisine -- and Terrace, which serves breakfast daily. Relax with a cup of coffee at Lobby Lounge, and enjoy a night of sing-alongs at Helicon, a "song bar" entertainment center.

The Bottom Line

Guest reviews boast about the Grand Hyatt Seoul's convenient location, great views, spacious guest rooms, and comfortable beds. This property is a luxury hotel with all you need located on site. If you are looking for a budget hotel conveniently located with many amenities for the price, the Best Western Gangnam Hotel is a favorable option.

Expert Reviews
Fitness facilities and sauna are state-of-the-art and the restaurants offer great service and good food, though both come at a premium.
If you visit this hotel, perched on top of Namsan, be sure to ask for a city view.
Lonely Planet
Making the most of its hilltop views, the Grand Hyatt oozes class. Rooms are a bit smaller than at rivals but all have been freshly renovated and sport a contemporary look.
Pamper yourself in the spa, dance the night away at popular club JJ Mahoney’s or swim in the excellent outdoor pool which, come winter, is turned into an ice rink.
Rough Guide
Perched on a hill overlooking Itaewon, almost every room has a fantastic view through floor-to-ceiling windows.
