The 30-story InterContinental Seoul COEX is literally in the middle of it all: the hotel is part of the World Trade Center complex in Seoul, next to a convention center and exhibition halls, and above a large underground shopping mall. The hotel has an indoor lap swimming pool, outdoor spa tub, gym, sauna, jogging track, and indoor golf driving range. The list of amenities is seemingly endless: three restaurants, a helpful concierge service, limousine or town car service available, a bustling casino, same-day dry cleaning services, as well as a staffed business center. 

Shopping, Entertainment, and Sightseeing Venue

Having the convention center, hundreds of stores for shopping or browsing, two food courts, an aquarium, and a multiplex movie theater steps from the hotel are reasons why the property has many return guests. But the amazing fitness center also entices gym enthusiasts and joggers who do not want to give up their fitness routines and golfers who hate to miss their weekly golf dates at home. If you do want to venture beyond the hotel, head to Bongeunsa Temple, constructed in 794, to see some exceptional calligraphy and woodblock prints. If you want to learn more about traditional Korean culture, stop by The National Museum of Korea. While you're there, don't miss the artifacts of historical significance. 

Restaurants in the Hotel

Guests can either have buffet meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Brasserie, or order from the extensive à la carte menus. Asian Live serves Korean, Chinese, Indian, and Japanese cuisine for lunch and dinner. The restaurant has 20 private dining rooms. Sky Lounge is a restaurant and bar on the hotel’s top floor, offering good food along with spectacular views.

24-Hour Room Service

Guests like the ability to order from 24-hour room service. Guest rooms have cable television service with premium channels and pay movies, refrigerator, minibar, telephone, and coffee- and tea-maker. The hotel provides wired high-speed Internet access at a surcharge. An in-room massage is available, as are infant beds and cribs.

The Bottom Line

Business travelers appreciate the services provided by the hotel’s staffed business center and the proximity of the hotel to the convention center and exhibition halls. Vacationers like the convenience of shopping in hundreds of stores in the underground COEX Mall. The Renaissance Seoul Hotel is comparably priced, but it is not as close to the convention center as the InterContinental Seoul COEX, and it does not have any on-site recreational facilities. The InterContinental Seoul COEX is truly a great find for any traveler.
