Center of Seoul and Access to All

Located within Central City -- Korea’s most all-encompassing complex -- and only 37 miles from the Incheon International Airport, the JW Marriott Hotel Seoul is the destination for tourist and business travelers alike. The hotels' proximity to public transportation lets you explore the city easily; or simply step out of your hotel and take advantage of the premier shopping experiences.

Sight Seeing, Shopping, and Seoul Food

You should have no problem finding things to do while in Seoul: the Shinsegae department store is only steps from your door, while the Central City center holds the Go-To Mall Underground Shopping Arcade (formerly the Gangnam Mall), a large multiplex movie theater, and direct access to three subway lines.  Nearby Garosu-gil area offers tree-lined streets, cafes, and a European vibe. If you feel like taking in the local culture, make sure to visit Bongeunsa Temple. This temple is still in use and is renowned for its stunning architecture. Grab a bite to eat near the temple at the Coex Store which houses a food court with many varieties of affordable Eastern and Western cuisine.

Luxury Accommodations Without Pretensions

JW Marriott combines a stylish atmosphere with a friendly and helpful staff. This 497-room hotel offers a variety of room choices from Superior to Presidential Suites. Well-lit desk areas in each room allow you to get some work done. Stay connected with Wi-Fi access for a fee. All rooms come equipped with flat-screen LCD televisions and Marriott’s Revive Collection bedding so you can relax after a hard day’s work or exploring. Thoughtful perks include complimentary newspaper and bottled water. If you need to blow off some steam, head down to the 24-hour fitness center that features swimming pools, a rock climbing wall, scuba diving, and indoor golf-range. Unwind at the hotel’s spa for therapy baths or massages.

The Bottom Line

The JW Marriott won’t disappoint you on your stay in Seoul. This hotel caters more to the business traveler with its 7 meeting room and 12 breakout rooms. This doesn’t meant that if you’re here on vacation that you won’t find plenty to do near the hotel. If you want to make the most of your stay, ask for a room on an upper floor so you can take in the city’s river and mountain views.

Expert Reviews
Lonely Planet
The Marriott is a feel-good hotel that’s classy and comfortable, with top facilities everywhere... It sits above three subway lines and is attached to a major shopping mall.
Rough Guide
It proudly claims to have the biggest bathrooms in Korea, though the rooms are otherwise bland, and occasionally patchy service means that they’re not really worth the money.
Michelin Guide
This luxury hotel provides top quality service close to the shopping malls of Central City. The most spacious rooms, recently renovated, have views over the river or to the mountains.
