City Center Hotel Steps Away From Everything

Rooms and Suites With Views

Shanghai Marriott City Centre is within walking distance of Nanjing Road, the premier shopping street not only in Shanghai but also in all of China. All rooms come with complimentary bottled water. Ergonomic desks with ergonomic chairs make working comfortable. Upgrading to Executive Rooms provides access to the Executive Lounge, including  pre-dinner hors d'oeuvres, after-dinner dessert, and complimentary non-alcoholic beverages. Suites provide more space, including separate sitting and sleeping areas.

Central to Shopping, Museums, and Businesses

In addition to its proximity to Nanjing Road, the hotel is within walking distance of People's Square, home to the Shanghai Museum. The Bund and riverfront are also an easy walk away. If you need to get somewhere further afield, the Metro is within walking distance.

World-Class Cuisine in the Hotel or on the Bund

The hotel's location near the Bund gives easy access to the finest dining in Shanghai, including famed M on the Bund and Jean-Georges.

All-day dining in the hotel starts with breakfast from the buffet or served in any of three restaurants. Lunch and dinner choices include a deli, a Japanese restaurant, a lounge, a bistro, and a Chinese restaurant.

If you're craving a taste of home, McDonald's is in the shopping center next door.

Hop On a Bus or Metro to See Modern and Ancient Shanghai

The Metro is across the road, and there's a sightseeing bus stop around the corner. There are many sites to see in Shanghai besides the Bund, the river, and Nanjing Road. Famed classical garden Yuyuan Garden was finished in the 16th century, with some later additions. There are six major scenic areas within the garden. One of the most famous religious sites is Jade Buddha Temple.

These traditional places stand in sharp contrast to modern Shanghai's skyscrapers. The tallest TV tower in Asia, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, is a symbol of the modern city. Visitors can take a double-decker elevator to the top and enjoy dining in a revolving restaurant. The World Financial Center is another modern building that attracts visitors. There is a sightseeing platform where visitors can walk on a clear glass floor and feel as if they are walking on air above the city.

The Bottom Line

While both hotels suit business people, the Shanghai Marriott Hotel City Centre is closer to central city shopping and museums than the Shanghai Marriott Hotel Changfeng Park.
