A stay at the Rica Hotel Stockholm places you right in the city center. There’s a fantastic range of shopping, eating, and entertainment opportunities within a 5-minute walk of the hotel. The hotel’s design concept merges history with modern Scandinavian architecture and the result is a refreshing blend of home-style comfort and clean, modern chic.

Something for Everyone in the City Center

Endless opportunities for fun, food, and shopping are right near the Rica Hotel Stockholm. It’s right next to one of Stockholm’s most famous attractions, the Hotorget Market, where you can sample an array of food from around the world for a less than what you would pay in the restaurants. The hotel is also walking distance to the old city, Galmastan, and a very short walk to Drottninggatan, a trendy shopping street with high-end shops and eateries. The famous Vasa Museum, the only place in the world that houses an original 17th century war ship, is a short tram trip.

Scandinavian Chic For All Budgets

Rooms at the hotel come in a range of sizes from the 10sqm windowless economy rooms designed with budget travellers in mind, to the 21sqm superior extra. There are no suites, like in the Rica Hotel Kungsgatan. All rooms feature fresh, modern Scandinavian furniture, which reflect the hotel’s design concept of blending history with modern architecture. All rooms have WiFi, and temperature control. Bathrooms only have showers.

Serious Business, Casual Dining

Looking for somewhere to host a meeting? The Rica Hotel Stockholm offers a range of business facilities from simple meeting rooms to seat 20 people,  to a large theatre with space for 200. Grande café Klara is the place to go for a light lunch buffet, but the menu has mostly sandwiches, coffee, and light snacks, and an all-day breakfast, but doesn't serve alcohol. The hotel has a gym with state-of-the-art fitness equipment.

The Bottom Line

The best thing about the Rica Hotel Stockholm is the location. Everything you'll need is either walking distance, or a short trip away. The rooms themselves are stylish and modern, even if a little on the small side, but this is standard for hotels in Stockholm. If you need more room, you would have to book a standard 4-star hotel like the Radisson Blu. It has options for budget travellers, but the no-alcohol policy is something to consider if you like a drink.

Characterful 17C house in a pleasant Old Town setting. Cosy bedrooms are classically styled, well-maintained and equipped with good modern facilities; bathrooms are compact but smart.

Charming winding streets lead to the doorstep of this cosy establishment. Located close to the Royal Palace, portraits of Swedish royalty dating from the 1650s adorn the walls of every room.
