More About Hotels near Beach Park...

Kennedy Avenue is a main thoroughfare to downtown Tampa, and the restaurants and coffee shops in Beach Park are clustered in that area. If you're in the mood for steak, Shula's is located in the Intercontinental Hotel.

Lodgings and Getting Around

The Beach Park area is about five miles away from the beaches and attractions in downtown Tampa. The HART public bus system has a few routes in the Beach Park area, and taxis are available, but your best bet may be to book a cheap rental car.

Hotel choices in Beach Park are limited to the Intercontinental Tampa just off Kennedy Avenue, and the nearby Crowne Plaza Tampa Westshore. The Intercontinental offers free shuttle service to the airport. Look for an Airbnb-approved house or apartment if the Intercontinental is booked with business travelers. For more economical hotel options, you should look at neighborhoods closer to the downtown or Ybor City areas.

Timing Your Trip

The bulk of Tampa's tourists flock to the beach between May and August, and cheap accommodations are hard to come by during peak season. Some of the best travel deals are available between September and mid-December.

Florida's snowbird season runs from January through April; the hotel prices spike during this season. February, in particular, is a busy time in Tampa, when thousands of visitors flock to the Florida State Fair.

If you're planning a trip to Busch Gardens, the crowds are smallest in the window between the end of spring break and the beginning of summer (mid-April to late May).
