More About Hotels near Upper Tampa Bay Park...

Book Rooms Near the Park

Florida has such respect for the delicate natural environment near Upper Tampa Bay Park that there are no hotels nearby. However, several affordable hotels are located around 3 miles away in the suburb of Oldsmar.

Courtyard by Marriott Tampa Oldsmar’s air-conditioned rooms offer respite from Florida’s steamy weather. Its suites are simple, but the complimentary wired and wireless Internet access, outdoor pool, and complimentary shuttle service make this feel a cut above your average three-star establishment.

Many of the nature lovers who flock to the park stay at the eco-friendly Hilton Garden Inn Tampa Northwest/Oldsmar. This well-appointed three-star hotel features an outdoor pool, a spa, a restaurant, and a 24-hour fitness facility for those late-night workouts.

Why Stay in Oldsmar?

Oldsmar is just 17 miles out of Tampa, but it feels like a world away. There’s just one shopping center, the Westfield Countryside Mall, but locals are more likely to be found scouting for bargains at the Oldsmar Flea Market.

Aside from the park there are a few attractions, like the Tampa Bay Downs racetrack and Oldsmar Historical Society Museum; but really, this is a place where visitors can relax more affordably than they can in Tampa.  It’s an easy drive into the city, or visitors can catch one of the local PSTA buses.

The park opens between 8 am and 6 pm every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas. Entry costs for $2 for a vehicle with up to eight passengers, and an extra dollar for every additional person.
