Stay in an Old Cinema While in Tel Aviv

Cinema Turned Hotel

Tel Aviv visitors find it exciting to stay in the Cinema Hotel Tel Aviv, which used to be a movie theater. Ester Cinema, one of the original movie theaters in downtown Tel Aviv, has been transformed into a beautiful hotel. With winding staircases, original projectors, and movie posters throughout, you'll feel like you are going to the movies. Located in the heart of the Tel Aviv, this hotel is steps away from the city center and less than a 10-minute walk from the beach. You are sure to find great restaurants and fantastic shops all within a short walk from the Cinema Hotel Tel Aviv.

Take a Bike Ride or Head to the Beach

Cinema Hotel Tel Aviv makes it extremely easy for you to enjoy the surrounding areas. For your ease and convenience you can borrow one of the hotel's bicycles and head out to see the city. Travel over to Dizengoff Square and explore the city center.

Are you more interested in exploring the Mediterranean Sea? Check out a beach towel from the front desk and take a 10-minute stroll to the beach. Enjoy lounging on the beach and splashing around in the water.

Modern Rooms with Historic Touches

When you stay in a remodeled theater, it shouldn’t surprise you that your room has special movie touches. The Cinema Hotel Tel Aviv offers modern rooms that are decorated with items showcasing the hotel's past. Each room features air conditioning, a mini-refrigerator, mini-safe, and free Wi-Fi. Additionally, all rooms include a free breakfast.

If you choose to upgrade to a suite, your room comes with the bonus of an in-room espresso machine.

The Bottom Line

This historic hotel has 83 rooms, including two suites and a rooftop terrace. It is not on the beach, but offers an easy walk to and from, as well as fabulous views from the terrace. Simply stated, it is a fantastic place to stay based on its historic charm and convenient location. However, keep in mind: a favorite pastime for Tel Aviv Visitors is spending time on the beach. The nearby Sheraton Tel Aviv Hotel is directly on the beach and features a spa, but it doesn’t offer the charm or staying in a historic movie theater.
