Modern, Compact Comfort in Tokyo's E Hotel Higashi Shinjuku

What Does an E Hotel Higashi Shinjuku Room Include?

Tiny but comfortable, the E Hotel rooms include complementary WiFi, electric kettles and green tea, AC or heat, and an opening window. Appliances include a small refrigerator and flat screen TV with video on demand. You’ll find a hair brush, toothbrush, and toothpaste along with toiletries, towels, slippers, and sleepwear in the compact bathroom. Purchase a voucher for 500 yen (with a value of 600 yen) for breakfast at Tully's coffee shop on the street level of the hotel.

What Amenities Are Available?

Most guests arrive by train. The station is next door. There is no parking but a public coin-operated lot is on the street. If you arrive earlier than 3pm you may leave bags at reception until your room is ready. Book three consecutive nights for a 30% discount. Start your day at Tully’s coffee shop downstairs, at McDonald's across the street, or the Royal Host for a full buffet breakfast. Have dinner at the BBQ restaurant next door.

How Much Will a Stay at the E Hotel Higashi Shinjuku Cost Me?

Rates for a single room run from $79 to $124 USD. Discounts are available when you book more than three consecutive nights or far in advance.

What’s There to Do Nearby?

At the E Hotel you're in the center of Tokyo's non-stop entertainment district with noodle-shops, bright neon, and flashing street videos. More than two million people pass through the train station daily and traffic is intense with sirens pealing into the night from the neighborhood hospital. Walk to the Hanazono and Meiji Jungu Shrines. Shop at the Isetan Department Store Shinjuku and Shinjuku Isetan. When you’ve had enough buzz stroll over to the Shinjuku Gyoen park.

What’s the Bottom Line?

The location in this popular neighborhood makes it easy to explore Tokyo. The single rooms are small, making it tight for luggage, but if you need more space, book double rooms or upper comfort rooms. Rooms facing away from the street are quieter. Be prepared to pay the Tokyo city tax of 200 yen per person per night at checkout.
