The Silk Exchange is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that dates back to the 15th century. It is a group of buildings, built in traditional Gothic style, that were at the heart of the silk trade and for centuries served as a center for commerce.
There is no shortage of fabulous and historic hotels near the Silk Exchange. The Hotel San Lorenzo Boutique is less than half a mile from the Exchange, and averages 80 USD a night. Additional options include the Petit Palace Bristol, Hostel Venecia, and Hotel Mediterraneo.
Staying here allows tourists to experience the best that Valéncia has to offer. It is in the city center, making it easy to access the most famous attractions and cultural sites. It is also conveniently located near many subway and bus stations, making travel easy as well.
On Sundays visitors can visit the Silk Exchange at no cost, but keep in mind that it also closes at 3 pm.
