What is John Marshall Place Park?

John Marshall Place Park is a small park right outside the Canadian Embassy and in front of the Newseum. Created in honor of Chief Justice John Marshall, it sits in the Judiciary Square neighborhood. On the north end, there is a sculpture of John Marshall, and on the east side, The Chess Players sculpture represents one of John Marshall's favorite pastimes. The park has three different areas with paved plazas and an open center. There are benches and tables where visitors can sit and eat lunch.
