Historic Chic at Avenue Hotel Amsterdam - Amsterdam

What Do the Rooms Include?

Avenue Hotel Amsterdam is in the heart of Amsterdam's tourist area, close to the romantic canals. Each room is unique in style and shape because a number of historic buildings make up this 17th century hotel that was once a warehouse for United East India Company. Rooms are remodeled to modern standards with 82 of them to choose from, with a range beginning with singles or doubles, all the way to twins and quadruples.

What Amenities Are Available?

All rooms have a private bathroom, air conditioning for those hot summer months, and flat screen TV's. One enticing feature in some of the rooms are the classic European terraces that open to Amsterdam's breathtaking beauty. With tea services, free Wi-Fi, and workdesks -- business travelers are also welcome. Included with your room is a continental breakfast, perfect fuel before a day of sightseeing!

How Much Will a Stay at Amsterdam Hotel - Amsterdam Cost?

Single rooms go for $139 USD per night. Doubles are around $159 USD or a night, which sounds pricier, but remember that's for two people. If your party is larger, consider booking triples at $237 USD per night.

What's There to Do Nearby?

This hotel is essential if soaking up Amsterdam is on your agenda. Fascinating sites like Dam Square, The Nine Streets, and the Red Light District are within walking distance. Weave around the canals on a bicycle, over the quaint bridges, and stop to photograph the brightly painted houses. If you crave indoor excursions, museums, shopping, or tours are easily accessible.

Can I Bring My Children?

Families enjoy the historical aspects and the intricate, large-scale parks of the city, so Avenue Hotel Amsterdam makes it simple by allowing children up to 2 years of age to stay free.

What's the Bottom Line?

Though rated as a 3-star hotel, its central location makes it worth considering. Driving and parking is expensive in Amsterdam and many other hotels charge separately for breakfast. Because tourist attractions are close by foot and the breakfast is included, Avenue Hotel Amsterdam is an attractive option for budget minded travelers.

Expert Reviews
The location is pretty central and convenient for getting to and fro by tram -- the downside is the clackety-clack of outside traffic.
Small though comfortable rooms, furnished in a bright, cheerful contemporary style, are spread across several historic buildings.
The Avenue Hotel's Old Center location is ideal for exploring Amsterdam on foot .... without having to venture far from the small but reasonably priced rooms
