Greek Dining, Shopping, and Touring Hotspots Near Athens Cypria Hotel

Greek Hotel Experience in the Middle of Major Shopping Area

The bon vivant Mediterranean style of living satisfies all guests staying at the popular Athens Cypria Hotel. The calm and comfortable rooms with visitor-focused amenities set the stage for an unforgettable Athens visit. Within walking distance to Athens museums, the Acropolis, and the city's major shopping area, Ermou Street, the Athens Cypria Hotel provides value beyond its three-star rating.

Convenient Walk to Athens Attractions

Explore the town of Plaka and the Acropolis. Check out the exciting nightlife at the bars, clubs, and restaurants in the Psiry area. Or simply stroll the streets as you soak up the sights and sounds of the Athens cityscape. The Athens Cypria Hotel is like a doorstep to exploring the city's major attractions. Visitor information is available at the hotel's reception desk.

While you won't find a fitness facility here, the 24-hour business center with complimentary wireless Internet is a boon for business travelers. Even though the dining facilities at the Athens Cypria Hotel aren't extensive, the on-site restaurant offers a pleasant buffet breakfast served daily. Likewise, Aphrodite's Bar is just the place to grab a drink or two before heading out to explore the city.

Cozy Rooms with Acropolis Views

While the dining facilities are limited, the hotel rooms are praiseworthy for going a step beyond the norm. Generous king-sized beds are staples of the luxury rooms here. In some of the rooms at the Athens Cypria Hotel, the famed Acropolis can be seen from private balconies. Individually control the heating and air conditioning of your room, and then kick back with a drink from the minibar while watching satellite TV.

Superior rooms feature king beds, while standard rooms are scaled-down versions of the superior room style, containing twin beds. Travelers vacationing with the kids will appreciate the connecting family rooms, which accommodate up to four guests (up to three children and two infants).

The Bottom Line

What the Athens Cypria Hotel lacks in features like a fitness center or spa, it makes up for in its convenient location within walking distance of major shops and historical attractions in the city. With so much to see, taste, sip, share, and photograph in Athens, you won't be spending much time in your hotel room anyway. If this hotel is booked or you want a higher rated hotel in the same area, try the Electra Hotel.

Expert Reviews
In a convenient location on a (usually) quiet street, the Cypria overlooks the Acropolis from unit nos. 603 to 607.
Lonely Planet
Tucked in a side street off Ermou, this small, family-friendly hotel is a little characterless, but it is modern and comfortable, with good facilities and a very handy location.
DK Eyewitness
The exterior of this hotel just off pedestrianized Ermoú is deceptively bland. Inside, earth-toned rooms with small balconies are matched by the colour scheme and stone dressing in the lobby.
