Inexpensive Hotel in the Heart of Banff

Budget-friendly Lodging in Banff

Charlton’s Cedar Court is one of the best inns of Banff for the budget traveler who does not want to sacrifice luxury. This beautiful resort offers complimentary parking, Wi-Fi access, and breakfast to its guests. Downtown is four blocks away. Guests have full access to the indoor heated pool, steam room, and spa tub. Guests can take advantage of the ski storage and shuttle service to nearby slopes. Gather in front of the fireplace in the lobby and enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, and newspapers.

Comfortable Rooms at Great Prices

Custom-made Canadian furniture adorns every one of the 57 smoke-free rooms. Guests will feel right at home with individually controlled air-conditioning, refrigerator, microwave, hairdryer, LCD television, cable service, coffee/tea maker, complimentary toiletries, bathrobes, and separate sitting areas. An iron, ironing board, and cribs are available upon request. Comfortable, allergy-free bedding will make sure you get a good night’s sleep. This three-story hotel offers great mountain views with all the conveniences of town right outside of your door.

Enjoy the Great Outdoors

Banff is an outdoor paradise with plenty of activities to take part in throughout the year. Winter sports include downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, ice walking, and snowshoeing. Warmer weather activities include horseback riding, fishing, swimming, kayaking, rafting, hiking, and biking. Scooter rentals are available for getting around town. Banff is also home to award-winning golf courses.

A Variety of Dining Options Nearby

Be sure to experience the Canadian cuisine at the Evergreen Restaurant at the Delta Banff Royal Canadian Lodge, Charlton’s sister hotel, just half a block away. Keg Steakhouse and Bar is also nearby and is popular among visitors and locals. El Toro Restaurant offers excellent Mexican and Spanish cooking. For a quick bite and a few drinks, Earls is open until midnight.

The Bottom Line

Charlton’s Cedar Court sits near the center of town. Banff offers plenty of unique shops and a range of dining options. If Tunnel Mountain Drive is not already on your list of things to see and do, be sure to add it. The breathtaking views are worth every minute and off-road tours are available for the adventurous types. The Vermillion Lakes are so smooth they look more like mirrors than a living ecosystem. During the winter, their frozen beauty is a remarkable sight. The best part is that they are only about 5 minutes outside of town.
