A Five-Star Hotel at the Intersection of Three Major Districts

Enjoy the Pretty Clouds

Travelers who want five-star accommodations while traveling in the capital city of China will love the Swissotel Beijing Hong Kong Macau Center. Conveniently located at the intersection of three key districts of the city, it provides all of the amenities and convenience you need while visiting Beijing.

The 430-room hotel features a gym, indoor pool, and massage treatment rooms. You can work out, and then treat yourself to a luxurious rubdown as a reward. When you are hungry, there are two restaurants and one or two bars available.

Beer Garden is a seasonal bar that is highly recommended when the weather is good. The Flow Lounge & Bar is always open, and it features occasional live music. Fans of Swiss cuisine will enjoy Café Swiss, an elegant restaurant with a remarkably deep menu. The crown jewel, however, is Pretty Clouds Restaurant. It provides one of the most beautiful aesthetic backdrops of any restaurant in the city.

Easy Subway Access to the City

While there is plenty to do in the area, more adventurous travelers can expand their horizons by heading to the Dongsishitiao station of the Beijing subway. It is conveniently located across the street from the hotel.

Additionally, the Swissotel Beijing Hong Kong Macau Center is located near the central business district, the diplomatic district, and the Wangfujing district. It is also only minutes away from Tiananmen Square and the various relics of the Forbidden Dynasty.

Rooms are Modest-Sized

Be aware that rooms are approximately 322 square feet, which is only okay for a five-star hotel in the city. The hotel does provide complimentary WiFi and broadband internet in all rooms. Gorgeous city and garden views are also available for the fourth through ninth floors.

Each room includes an LCD television with cable channels, tea and coffee maker, minibar, electronic safe, Japanese robe, and slippers. There is also 24-hour room service available for night owls and travelers still adjusting to the time change. Suites feature at least 50 percent more space, so they are worth consideration for that reason alone. They also include a sofa and guaranteed view.

The Bottom Line

The hotel’s amenities are what differentiate it from the pack. The Crowne Plaza Beijing Wangfujing is equally priced and has rooms that are about 10 percent larger, though. Presuming that amenities matter to you more than a bit of space, Swissotel Beijing Hong Kong Macau Center is your best bet.
