Lonely Planet
The 60 rooms combine old-fashioned style, like striped wallpaper and four-poster beds, with modern amenities like wi-fi, mini-fridges and 24-hour room service.
This hotel originally opened in 1929 as the Mayfair Manor. When it was renovated in 1987, many of its period features were restored to their original elegance.
It opened in 1929 under another name, but has remained a comfortable lodging house ever since. Classic 10-story building is petite, with 60 rooms touched in homey Southern styles.
