Centrally Located Dubai Beach Hotel

Fun in the Water

Sporting a distinctive wave-shaped exterior and an expansive private beachfront, Dubai's five-star Jumeirah Beach Hotel has been wowing visitors since 1997.

The hotel grounds are home to 20 restaurants and bars, including the rooftop Lounge 360 and the Ocean Blue bar, with in-pool drink service. Sinbad’s Kids Club will keep the little ones entertained, and the hotel's extremely well-equipped gym offers a daily schedule of fitness classes. There's also a sun deck, climbing wall, squash and tennis courts, a spa, and a total of five pools.

The Jumeirah Beach Hotel's beach area, formerly known as Chicago Beach, sprawls over 364,000 square feet, with golf carts shuttling guests around. Additional water sports on offer include windsurfing, diving, snorkeling and yacht rentals. The Wild Wadi Water Park is next to the hotel, and guests receive complementary passes for unlimited access.

Facilities for business, events and conventions include a large auditorium, executive meeting rooms and the chandeliered Safinah banquet hall.

Rooms Overlooking the Gulf

The Jumeirah Beach Hotel houses 617 rooms and suites, many of which offer impressive views of the Arabian Gulf.

Rooms come in a variety of classes, ranging all the way up to the 19 luxurious Beit Al Bahar beachfront villas. The Club Executive-level rooms are considered by many to provide the best views and value, as the rates on those include access to an executive lounge as well as limousine rides to and from the airport.

All rooms come with satellite TV, complementary Internet access via both Wi-Fi and Ethernet jacks, and self-service tea and coffee stations.

In the Center of it All

Dubai International Airport is only 12 miles away from the Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

Venturing beyond the hotel itself and the adjacent Wild Wadi Water Park, Dubai's most famous shopping malls are located nearby. These include Mall of the Emirates (with its indoor Ski Dubai slopes), Times Square Centre, and The Dubai Mall (currently the world's largest mall, and it's also home to the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo).

Also near the hotel are the Dubai Marina, the Emirates Golf Club, The Walk at Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), the man-made archipelago of the Palm Jumeirah, and Burj Khalifa, the tallest structure in the world.

The Bottom Line

The Jumeirah Beach Hotel is five-star Dubai at its best. The building itself is a symbol that encapsulates Dubai's late-1990s economic growth and cultural internationalization. Business travelers and pampering vacation lovers alike can't go wrong here – this waterfront mega-hotel offers a great location, more on-site recreation options than you'll have time to enjoy, and easy access to Dubai's greatest shopping attractions and architectural wonders. Located nearby, the newer, swankier, and even more visually iconic Burj Al Arab may be more of a trendy draw nowadays, but for many, five stars make for plenty of luxury.

Time Out
One of the most well-known hotels in Dubai, designed to look like a cresting wave, this regal hotel sits at the top of Jumeriah Beach Road and offers unparalleled views of the Burj Al Arab.
Rough Guide
The facilities are among the best in the city, including over twenty restaurants, several top nightspots... seven pools, six tennis courts, a golf driving range and the Pavilion PADI diving centre.
DK Eyewitness
While the interiors of this wave-shaped hotel are rather gaudy when compared with Dubai’s chic new hotels, families love the bright, bold colours, excellent beach facilities and myriad kids’ activities .
