Scottish Boutique Hotel in Central Edinburgh

A Relaxing Getaway

Located in Edinburgh’s New Town, just three blocks from Princess Street, The Bonham prides itself on a contemporary, relaxed atmosphere that’s just what guests need when traveling either on vacation or for business. Featuring 49 rooms and suites, as well as event space for parties, weddings, or business conferences, this hotel offers everything guests need for a stress-free trip.

Great Central Location

The Bonham’s central location puts guests within easy reach of a number of the area’s most popular attractions, including Edinburgh Castle, The Old Town, Georgian House at Charlotte Square, Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, Dean Gallery, and Princess Street Gardens. The location puts guests in both the business and historic districts, with a train station nearby.

Dine at the Restaurant at The Bonham

The Restaurant at The Bonham offers a French-inspired menu, with selections that change regularly. Menu items include organic beetroot and goat cheese terrine, blood orange sorbet, wild sea bass, hand-rolled linguine, shellfish and saffron sauce, rib-eye of Scotch beef, potato gratin, heritage carrots, watercress purée, and warm poached pear, chocolate sauce, and stem ginger ice cream. Multicourse meals and à la carte options are available. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week. Reservations are recommended, but 24-hour room service is also available.

Inside The Bonham, guests can also find The Consulting Room bar for cocktails, afternoon tea, wine, and a light bites (sandwiches and salads) menu. Reservations are recommended.

Luxurious Accommodations

All 49 rooms and suites are individually designed and uniquely styled. Each room features a flat-screen TV with cable, free Wi-Fi Internet access, a minibar, a coffee and tea maker, luxury toiletries from The White Company, and an iron and board.

The suites feature separate sitting rooms and large picturesque bay windows overlooking Drumsheugh Gardens. You can choose to add extras to your reservation such as dining packages, wine, roses or seasonal flowers, chocolates, and more.

The Bottom Line

Families traveling with children must stay in either a Superior Bedroom or a Suite. Children under the age of 5 stay for free, children to age 12 are charged a small fee, and children over age 12 pay the full rate. The restaurant does not have a children’s menu, but half portions are available at a discount price. Overall, The Bonham is a classy hotel great for everyone visiting the area.

Set in three Victorian townhouses, the 49-room, upscale Bonham is a stylish boutique hotel in a quiet, historic Edinburgh neighborhood, around the corner from all the action.
The Telegraph
Behind the sober facade of this 19th-century West End townhouse is a hotel combining restrained urban cool and a smattering of good modern art with faintly riotous boutique bedrooms:...

Nineteenth-century ornamental cornices, wood panels, and high ceilings satisfy the historical cravings of period enthusiasts, but... huge modern canvases by area artists keep it from feeling frumpy.
