Modern, Lifestyle Hotel in Central Pera District of Istanbul

Stylish rooms with views from all angles

The Marmara Pera hotel gives you a spectacular choice of view, allowing the city lover to select a superior room with a view of the rooftops of old Istanbul. Maybe you prefer the quiet serenity of a water view; if so, then your choice would be either a sea view superior room or a suite overlooking the Bosphorus Strait. The rooms themselves are beautifully decorated in warm, earthy shades of brown and white with bathrooms featuring colorful mosaic tiles and luxury bath products. A well-appointed fitness center and free wi-fi round out the amenities. No matter your choice of room, you can take in a view from all sides at the heated rooftop pool, open year round.

Contemporary Turkish Dining

Also on the roof of the Marmara Pera Hotel are spectacular views of sights of historical interest, stretching from the Hagia Sophia to the Topkapi Palace at the Mikla restaurant. Opened in 2005, the Chef-Owner Mehmet Gürs has created a celebrated fusion menu featuring his Turkish-Scandinavian heritage. Two delicious fixed menus offer seasonal, local ingredients, and can be ordered as either a 3-course meal or a 7-course tasting menu with optional wine pairings. The wine list includes many local specialties from Turkey and other classic wine regions further afield. The bar and restaurant both open at 6:00 p.m. and making reservations in advance are highly recommended. Breakfast and lunch is available on-site at the Cafe Marmara on the ground floor off the lobby. Here you will find both Turkish and International cuisines on the menu.

Central Old Istanbul Location

The Marmara Pera Hotel is located in the Pera district, perfectly lodged next to many historical and contemporary places to visit. The Pera Museum is a comfortably short walk away and the permanent collection holds Orientalist Paintings, Anatolian Weights and Measures, and Kütahya Tiles and Ceramics. Around the corner from the Marmara Pera Hotel is Istiklal Avenue, a pedestrian street lined with shopping and cafés. With a short walk, you can visit the Galata Tower, first built in 507. Nightlife is also within walking distance from the hotel. Popular clubs include Nardis, Babylon and Indigo.

Getting around

The Marmara Pera Hotel offers shuttle bus service to and from both Istanbul Ataturk International Airport and Sabiha Gokcen International Airport (SAW). A bus and tram system is available in Istanbul but walking is recommended for visitors.
