Low-cost, Large-scale Boutique Hotel in Kuala Lumpur

You Will Never Need to Leave the Hotel

The Hotel Maya Kuala Lumpur features two restaurants, a deli, and a pair of lounges on-site. While technically a dinner establishment, Maya Brasserie is open throughout the day. Better yet, you can eat a la carte or enjoy a buffet. Fans of Japanese dishes should visit Still Waters to enjoy modern, exotic cuisine. Travelers who want to enjoy a view of the city should frequent the Sky Lounge, designed to highlight the skyline.

Corporate guests should note that there is a business center on-site. Health-conscious customers have access to a gym, spa, sauna, Jacuzzi, hydrotherapy pool, and yoga and aerobics studio.

If You Choose to Leave the Hotel, There Is Plenty to Do

This hotel is nestled in the heart of the business and shopping districts of Malaysia’s capital city. Tourist destinations of particular note include Independence Square, the Batu Caves, and Chinatown. Merdeka Square features many of the finest historical buildings.

The Batu Caves are located on a limestone hill in the Gombak district, just north of the city. It is an extremely popular Hindu shrine. Its world-famous Murugan statue is a tribute to the Hindu deity of the same name. This landmark is the tallest statue in the country. Chinatown is a must-visit tourist destination due to its street food and economical shopping options.

But the Rooms Are So Great That You May Never Leave

The Hotel Maya Kuala Lumpur is a five-star property that doesn’t skimp on its amenities. Guests at this 207-room resort will enjoy a room that includes Wi-Fi/broadband Internet access, complimentary mineral water, a daily newspaper, an umbrella, satellite television, DVD player, bathrobe and slippers, security system, mini-bar, and writing desk with chair.

Note that the Villa Samadhi Kuala Lumpur is the better reviewed boutique hotel. Since that establishment offers only 21 rooms for rent, however, you will have a much more difficult time getting a reservation there. Also, the room will be quite a bit more expensive. Since the Hotel Maya Kuala Lumpur offers roughly ten times as many rooms at a lower rack rate, it is a better option for most travelers.

The Bottom Line

The capital city of Malaysia is teeming with five-star hotels. Still, the Hotel Maya Kuala Lumpur stands out in the crowd as an affordable establishment with a wealth of amenities that distinguish it from the competition.
