An Affordable Adventure at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground

What Do the Campsites Include?

This resort campground is different from Disney's other hotels in Lake Buena Vista, Florida because it does not include rooms. Instead, you stay at a campground in your tent, camper, or RV. Each campsite provides electricity, water, and cable TV hookups for your convenience. Landscaping helps your campsite feel separate and private from the others, and there is a grill to cook meals and a picnic table for your family to sit around. There are different campsites to choose from, and some include extra amenities, such as sewer hookups. Choose the one that fits your needs, whether you're bringing a tent or an RV.

What Amenities Does Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort Offer?

You'll be staying in a natural setting at this campground, within 750 acres of forest land. You and your family will enjoy the peace and beauty of woods, trails, and a beach. Your booking includes transportation to the Walt Disney World theme parks and the Orlando International Airport, so you don't need a rental car. The campground includes a settlement with wireless Internet, laundry services, dining options, an ATM, merchandise delivery from Disney theme parks, and dinner shows. There are also amenities to keep you active, such as a jogging trail, basketball courts, and a pool. You can pay for extra nature activities to enhance your stay, including pony or wagon rides, fishing, kayak or boat rentals, and archery.

How Much Will a Stay at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort Cost?

A standard campsite costs about $69 per night, which includes a maximum of 10 guests staying on the site. The resort has four types of campsites, with a range of prices that grant you extra amenities.

What's There to Do Nearby?

You'll be staying in the Orlando area, where you'll find endless fun activities. There are both kid-friendly and adult opportunities, including restaurants, shopping spots, nightlife venues, shows, and natural areas. You will also find many theme parks outside of Walt Disney World, including Universal Studios, LEGOLAND, and Aquatica.

Can I Bring My Pet to My Campsite?

Some of the campsite options allow you to bring your pets on vacation with you. Keep in mind that the natural area around you includes many wild animals, such as deer and armadillos, that your pet might react to.

What's the Bottom Line?

A stay at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground gives you many of Disney's amenities at a lower price than its other resorts. It's a great idea if you have camping equipment or an RV, or if you're going on vacation as a large group, since there can be up to 10 people on each campsite.
