Budget-Friendly Lake Buena Vista Resort near Disney World

Discounted Disney World Location

The Disney’s Polynesian Resort is just minutes from the Disney World theme parks. Hotel guests have easy access to the Disney monorail system, located right outside the resort’s front door. The hotel is also less than 30 minutes from the Orlando International Airport and free airport shuttle service is available.

Affordable Things to Do in Lake Buena Vista

Guests will find so many things to do at the hotel, they may never want to leave! Hotel activities include swimming in the outdoor pool complete with slides and a waterfall. Watch a free Disney Movie Under the Stars, rent a boat and take it out on the lake, jog around the fitness trail, or enjoy an evening campfire with the family. Guests can enjoy being pampered at the resort’s Senses spa. There are also several on site restaurants, including ‘Ohana, Kona Café, Captain Cooks, Kona Island, and the Barefoot pool bar, allowing guests to enjoy everything from a burger to fine dining.

Inexpensive Disney World Lodging

The hotel’s guestrooms are very well-appointed with wicker furniture and marble bathrooms. For more convenience, the rooms also include free wireless and wired Internet access, cable TV, and a refrigerator for storing cold foods and drinks.

Hipmunk Staff Review

The Disney’s Polynesian Resort consists of 11 Polynesian-style long houses that are each named after a tropical island in the Pacific. The resort is surrounded by large palm trees, lush gardens, and beautiful koi ponds. Near the waterfront, guests will find white sandy beaches for swimming during the daytime, and romantic torch-lit beaches in the evening for guests to take a stroll. The nearby Disney’s Beach Club Resort offers similar accommodations, but is slightly further away from the Disney World theme park and does not offer direct access to the Disney monorail.

Expert Reviews
You may not think you're in Fiji, but families with kids can have fun pretending in this South Pacific-themed resort directly across the lagoon from the Magic Kingdom.
DK Eyewitness
Lush tropical gardens and waterfalls, a white sand beach, and a lagoon swimming pool with a steaming volcano and torch-lit walkways create the illusion of an island paradise.
Travel + Leisure
Commanding an enviable position on the Seven Seas Lagoon, and a short boat ride from the Magic Kingdom’s front gates, the South Seas–inflected Polynesian is a circa-1971 Disney original.
