Disney Magic Transports the Beauty of the Pacific-Northwest to Florida

Woodland Themed Resort across from the Magic Kingdom

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is a rustic-themed resort located one mile south of the Magic Kingdom Park, which is just across Bay Lake.

Enjoy a Day at the Magic Kingdom or Take the Family Hiking Through the Forest

The resort features activities for the whole family, including swimming in two outdoor pools, and hiking or bike riding on the nature trails through the surrounding forest. Other options include volleyball, motor boating, and arts and crafts for the children. Be sure to eat at the resort’s fine dining restaurant, Artist Point, featuring cuisine from the Pacific Northwest and views of Bay Lake. A ferry leaves directly from the hotel to take you and your family across the lake to the Magic Kingdom, where you can experience the magic of Florida’s happiest place on earth.

Rooms with Bunk Beds

Each room comes with free wireless Internet, a flat panel television, coffee maker, safe, and an iron with ironing board. You have the option of either a single king bed, two queen beds, or a queen bed and a bunk bed. Additionally, you can upgrade to a club-level room featuring a DVD player and access to the club level lounge.

In contrast to Disney’s Contemporary Resort, with its modern appeal, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge hearkens back to the Pacific Northwest of the past with its rough-hewn furniture and wooded surroundings. The nature trails provide a getaway from the sometimes raucous atmosphere of a Disney vacation. Plus, arts and crafts activities give the children something to do while the parents have an evening to themselves.

Travel + Leisure
A towering lobby filled with totem poles, a replica geyser, and a waterfall-fed rock pool—this Orlando fantasy channels America's national parks to uncanny effect.
Take a ride on a pony or in a horse-drawn carriage.
DK Eyewitness
The setting resembles that of the great national parks of the Northwest, with towering pines, a spewing geyser, and rough rocky terrain surrounding a spectacular pool.
Rough Guide
This magnificent, oversized replica of a frontier log cabin is furnished with massive totem poles, a wood-burning fire in the lobby, and Southern-style rocking chairs.
