Affordable Munich Hotel For Business or Pleasure

A Luxurious Stay For Cheap

One of the larger Munich hotels with 480 rooms, the Hilton Munich City has plenty of room options and space for the discerning traveler. Every room offers 24-hour room service, a private bathroom, daily housekeeping, and many other great services you'd expect from a 4-star hotel.

The Hilton Munich City is not to be confused with the Hilton Munich Park, which is located less centrally within Munich (adjacent to Englischer Garten) and has an indoor pool facility.

The Hilton Munich City offers many opportunities for people traveling on business. Upgrading to an executive room gives solitary travelers a larger desk and a King-size bed. It also gives guests access to the Hilton Munich City Executive Lounge, which is kept stocked with free breakfast and refreshments. Both the executive rooms and the lounge offer free WiFi access.

There are also meeting facilities available. The Hilton has seven multi-purpose rooms, one boardroom, and one ballroom that you can reserve to host business or other events.

Fine Dining and Cheap Cafe on Site

The hotel's Caffé Cino provides lighter fare, perfect for a business meeting over coffee. They also have more substantial meals and a kid's menu so you can have lunch with the family. Dinner is served at the hotel's two restaurants, Lowenschanke and Zum Gasteig, which specialize in local German cuisine. A dining room at Zum Gasteig can be reserved for private gatherings.

Easy Travel to Local Cultural Hotspots

There are a few cultural landmarks within walking distance of the hotel. The Deutsches Museum, just a seven-minute walk from the hotel, showcases historical German advances in science and technology. It's only a two-minute walk to the Gasteig, a concert hall where the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra performs. If you're more interested in nightlife, a 15-minute trip by S-Bahn will get you to Kultfabrik, Munich’s center for clubbing.

You can also walk or take public transport to other popular spots within Munich, including Marienplatz, the Olympic Center, and the Oktoberfest grounds.

The Bottom Line

The Hilton Munich City is a wonderful place for single travelers or families to stay, especially if you are a Hilton Honors member and can enjoy upgrades at no extra cost. In an executive room or a suite, you'll have plenty of space for the whole family or for a relaxing stay if you're traveling alone.
