Bienville House: Boutique Hotel at Great Location in the French Quarter

What Does a Bienville House Room Include?

Rooms at the Bienville House include exterior and interior rooms, and you should note that interior rooms do not have windows. All rooms include 300-thread count sheets, coffee makers, bathrobes, and designer toiletries from Gilchrist & Soames. Upgrade to a Sundeck Room and enjoy an adjoining patio.

What Amenities Does the Bienville House Offer?

Start the day with a complimentary continental breakfast open from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Despite being one of the boutique hotels in New Orleans, there is an outdoor salt water pool and surrounding courtyard to enjoy. The on-site Latitude 29 restaurant features Tiki cuisine with vegan and gluten-free options.

How Much Will a Stay at Bienville House Cost?

In summer, rates for the interior king room start at $110/night while rates for the exterior deluxe room start at $120/night. In fall, rates rise some as the muggy summer weather recedes, with interior rooms costing around $150/night and exterior rooms starting at $160. Note that there is an additional fee for parking.

What's There to Do Nearby?

Just a short walk from Bienville House is Woldenberg Park, where you can enjoy viewing the Mississippi River. The Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium is also close by and features an IMAX theater and exhibits on bugs and insects.

What’s the Bottom Line?

The location of Bienville House is perfect—close to French Quarters nightlife, but far enough away that you can sleep at night and avoid the city's exuberance. With the price and the comfortable rooms, it's a great option for your visit to New Orleans.

Expert Reviews
Located near the Mississippi River, the Bienville's guest rooms are furnished with antiques, and attractions in the Quarter and the CBD are nearby.
Straddling two busy French Quarter streets, the historic Bienville House is as an urban oasis, with tropical rooftop terraces and a soothing courtyard.
A nice little Quarter hotel, better than most (thanks to a combo of location, price, and room quality), though not as good as some (owing to a lack of specific personality and the odd bit of shabbiness).
