Expert Reviews
Time Out
In contrast to the lively, warm aesthetic of the public spaces, the plain, blue-and-white rooms feel like an afterthought; however, quarters feature luxury touches such as pillow-top mattresses.
Gayot
Cool, modern style prevails in the lobby with its oversized mahogany sofas and such Starck-designed pieces as a gilded-wood chair upholstered with a larger-than-life silkscreen of a growling dog.
Rough Guide
A former budget hotel renovated into a boutique bolthole by Ian Schrager (he’s moved on and it’s since been updated again), the Paramount offers chic, closetsized rooms with splashes of colour to liven things up.
