Expert Reviews
DK Eyewitness
Even after a major refurbishing, The Pod’s prices are very reasonable, especially for the prime neighbor hood.
Be sure to inquire about private baths and the exact size of the room, as many can be tiny.
Two of the most unusual hotels in the city, both the original Pod and its offshoot on 39th Street, offer high style, and even high jinx, at low, low prices.
Time Out
This surprisingly stylish East Side hotel opened in early 2007, offering tiny but futuristic rooms that are well suited to people who favor convenience and value over elbow room.
