2nd District Hotel Steeped in 18th Century History

Ideal 2nd District Location

Stay in the heart of the 2ndDistrict in Paris at La Maison Favart. Convenient to the Quatre-Septembre and Richelieu-Drouot Metro stations, this hotel is across the street from the Comic Opera and less than a 10 minute walk to the Galeries Lafayette, the Musée Grévin, the Place Vendôme, the Opéra Garnier, and much more. This hotel is near Boulevards des Italiens at 5 Rue de Marivaux.

Within the 2nd District and just steps from La Maison Favart lie the Grands Boulevards, offering 19th century shopping arcades. These ornate glass covered passages are a must see for travelers who enjoy shopping in the quirky boutiques and shops within.

A Hotel for History and Romance

La Maison Favart bears the name of the founder and director of the Comic Opera, Charles-Simon Favart. He and his wife, actress Justine Duronceray, inspired the 18th century décor of striped heavy curtains and rich colors with a modern twist on furnishings. After meeting and marrying in the same year, Charles and Justine lived in cozy apartments, known as La Petite Maison Favart, also available for booking.

Luxurious Amenities

For the ultimate in tranquility, La Maison Favart features a relaxation bath with a cascading waterfall and serene lighting. This pool is cozy and quiet and an idyllic spot to unwind from the Parisian hustle and bustle. The white-wood sauna provides soothing warm steam. Three Technogym machines in the fitness room offer a place to exercise.

La Maison Favart features 24 hour concierge service to assist with recommendations, reservations, and any detail needed for the perfect stay. Free wi-fi is available in addition to secure cable Internet access. Enjoy tea and coffee in the honesty bar or dine in the breakfast rooms with floor to ceiling windows. Also provided are French and international newspapers and complimentary cine-club. Room service, laundry, and dry cleaning are available upon request.

18th Century Decorated Rooms

La Maison Favart offers 37 bedrooms in four different categories: classic bedrooms, deluxe bedrooms, suites, and duplexes.

Cozy classic bedrooms are individually decorated and feature a welcoming and comfortable style. Each affordable bedroom offers a private bathroom with shower or tub, velvet towels and bathrobes with matching slippers, hair dryer, desk with iPhone dock, a well-stocked mini-bar, flat screen TV, in-room safe, and a “La Maison Favart” welcome pack.

Deluxe bedrooms, wrapped in toile, velvet, and satin fabrics, feature shades of Raspberry, Redcurrant, and Chantilly reminiscent of 18th century style. These slightly larger rooms offer the same comfortable amenities as classic bedrooms.

Spacious suites and duplexes are elegant and refined in bronze, gold, and red colors of taffeta and velvet, evoking the look of an opera set. Both room categories offer in-room lounges to spread out in.

The Bottom Line

La Maison Favart’s prime 2nd District location in the heart of Paris and just steps to the Comic Opera, shops, and restaurants make this hotel the ideal choice for any traveler looking for affordable luxury.
