What’s a RIU Palace Punta Cana All Inclusive Room Include?

Upon arriving, you'll probably want to walk straight through the elegant, European-style main building, through the manicured grounds, past the glimmering pools, and out to the white sand beach to spread your towel out on a sun lounger. There, you can adjust your umbrella and start relaxing. Be sure to book a long enough trip that you can also enjoy a body wrap or hydrotherapy treatment at the Eternal Spa, work up a sweat in the fitness center or on one of four tennis courts, or try your luck in the casino. When you make it to your room, the suites feature whirlpool tubs, satellite television, and regularly restocked minibars.

What Amenities are Available?

RIU Palace Punta Cana is a resort within a resort, and guests have access to bars, a casino, and a nightclub in the larger Riu Resort complex. The resort sits on Arena Gorda (or Fat Sand) Beach, so named because of its width and gentle slope toward the calm water.

What are the Rates Like?

This is an all-inclusive property, so room rates include food and drink, as well as amenities and activities like entertainment, fitness center access, supervised kids' club activities for children ages 4 through 12, and non-motorized water sports, like kayaking, windsurfing, and boogie boarding. You can sip cocktails at five bars and dine at restaurants specializing in Brazilian, Japanese, Italian, Fusion, and Steakhouse cuisine. Men are required to wear trousers for dinner to hotels in Punta Cana.

Suites are priced per person, so a week's stay for two adults and two children can cost from $2,500 to $3,500. Gratuities, parking, and limited Wi-Fi access are included.

What's the Bottom Line?

Couples and families will feel at home at this polished, luxurious beach resort on the northern end of Punta Cana.

Expert Reviews
By night this megaresort decorated with Arabian-style domes looks like a fairy-tale palace and its generally older clientele are a departure from the other Riu resorts in the vast complex.
A sprawling, five-hotel complex, the 612-room Riu Palace Punta Cana has access to some excellent pools, top-notch liquor, and a gorgeous, though especially crowded, beach.
