Stay at One of the Most Luxurious Hotels in Iceland

Nearby but Not in the City Center

The Hilton Reykjavík Nordica in Laugardalur offers up the city and all its attractions without being in the middle of it all. The hotel provides guests with bus passes for easy access to the National Museum of Iceland, the Harpa, Hallgrimskirkja with its amazing views, and so much more. Most attractions are only a few minutes' ride away.

The Botanical Gardens, the Reykjavík Art Museum, and the Reykjavík Family Park and Zoo are all in Laugardalur. The gardens and zoo are part of a larger outdoor activity park, which is only a five-minute walk from the hotel. Visitors will also find the city's best outdoor swimming pools, amusement park, and Iceland's main sports center there.

Airport transportation options include FlyBus, taxis and other cars for hire, and rental cars. The hotel offers free self-parking. There is no rail service in Iceland.

A Beautiful Home Base for Exploration

The Hilton Reykjavík Nordica happy hour is an ideal time to unwind after a long day or meet up with other travelers to exchange stories of this trendy city. The Hilton's public spaces are decorated in sparse Mid-century modern cool. The design details reflect the natural wonder of the country with molten grays, wood accents, and an artful use of light.

The recently renovated Nordica Spa provides a tranquil setting focused on deep relaxation. Iceland is a land of fire and ice and the dualities of those natural elements appear in the spa's decadent treatments, which include steam baths and log cabin saunas. The spacious gym is staffed with personal trainers to ensure guests get the most out of their workouts.

Rooms with Expansive Views

The Hilton's guest rooms offer magnificent views of the city and natural areas. They include free wireless Internet access, coffee and tea service, and a line of spa toiletries. All rooms come with a mini refrigerator as well, a nice money-saving touch considering the cost of eating out in Reykjavík.

Standard or single Hilton rooms are small with a full size bed. Guests requiring more room should consider requesting a queen or twin Hilton room or splurge for one of their suites.

The Bottom Line

Located in the Laugardalur area of town, the Hilton Reykjavík Nordica is a luxury hotel that caters to business and pleasure travelers. The hotel reflects the beauty of Iceland's dramatic landscape.
