Affordable Downtown Rio de Janeiro Hotel

Why Should I Stay at the Windsor Guanabara Hotel?

For starters, the Windsor Guanabara Hotel is ideally located in downtown Rio de Janeiro. It’s close to the Santos Dumont Airport, so the proximity cuts down on the time between arrival and check-in. Many fascinating sites are also close by, including the Consulate General of the United States Rio de Janeiro, and the Candelaria Church. The spectacular Catedral de Sao Sebastiao do Rio de Janeiro and the Arcos da Lapa are also nearby.

What Does the Hotel Offer?

You mean in addition to the restaurant and outdoor pool? Or, how about the bar and lounge for relaxing with a drink? Do you get hungry at odd times of the night? No problem, the Guanabara Hotel has 24-hour room service. Guests of the Guanabara Hotel also have access to a health club and a sauna. Rooms come with LCD TV and premium cable stations. Need to complete some business?  You can do so with the on-site business center and 35 meeting rooms to choose from. The hotel also boasts a multilingual staff, concierge services, and laundry facilities.

How Much is a Room Going to Cost Me?

The luxury rooms at the Guanabara Hotel generally run between $135 and $150 USD a night. These are excellent prices for the site, particularly when compared to hotels like the Windsor Atlantica, where rooms start in the $300 USD range. When you consider the excellent location and high-end amenities, the low price isn’t the only thing to appreciate at the Guanabara Hotel.

So, What’s the Bottom Line?

There’s the terrific location, the many amenities of the hotel, and the terrific staff. It caters to both those traveling for pleasure and those on business trips with its multilingual staff, pool, restaurant, lounge, and business services. And, finally, the price can’t be beat. The Windsor Guanabara Hotel has it all.

Expert Reviews
Fodor's
The Windsor Guanabara is one of the few solid hotel choices right in Centro. Rooms are reasonably sized and tastefully done in brown and beige.
Time Out
This enormous glass hotel looms out of Centro and is tall enough to offer views of Corcovado and the hills to one side and Guanabara Bay to the other.

A mid-range alternative for business travelers who want an in-depth experience into the art and cultural... while using the hotel's many business facilities.
