Art Deco Europe on Display at Hotel Mediterraneo

What’s a Hotel Mediterraneo Room Include?

Hotel Mediterraneo was originally built in 1936 by art deco architect Mario Loreti, and remains true to his original vision. You can find wood and marble paired with nautical themes throughout the hotel. Over the years, the hotel has received updates to provide modern comforts but keep the original style and design. Rooms are comfortable, fitting up to three guests a room. Each room has its own style with free Wi-Fi. The tenth floor consists of all suites with in-room Jacuzzis and private terraces.

What Amenities are Available?

The lobby bar has comfortable club chairs perfect for enjoying a cocktail. The Art Deco fireplace in the lounge has velvet chairs you could just sink into. Ristorante 21 is an on-site restaurant open for lunch and dinner or enjoy breathtaking views and food at the Roof Garden Restaurant.

What are the Rates Like?

With a great location, historical vibe, and fantastic dining options, you may worry this hotel is out of your price range. Rooms begin around $100 a night, but vary depending on the time of year, which makes this a cheap hotel in Rome. High season prices can be much more. Partner properties Bettoja Hotel Atlantico Rome and Bettoja Hotel Massimo d'Azeglio Rome are part of the family owned hotel group that has been operating as trusted hoteliers for five generations.

What's the Bottom Line?

The location of this hotel couldn't be better. It's perched on Esqualline Hill, the highest of Rome's seven hills. The hotel is 10 stories high, offering amazing views of the city from this high vantage point. Just a few minutes away is Termini station, Rome's central rail and bus hub. This provides great access to other parts of the city and beyond. You can also catch or arrive on the train shuttle to da Vinci/Fiumcino airport easily.
