Secluded Spa Resort

Urban Mountain Sanctuary

The Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul, tucked into the side of the Namsan Mountains, offers an escape from bustling city life. A joint urban resort and membership club with ample entertainment and dining, you may never want to leave the property. But if you do manage to pull yourself away from this oasis, Seoul's top attractions are a short drive away.

Work Up a Sweat or Wind Down

If you're looking to stay physically active on vacation, Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul has everything you need. Keep your workout routine on schedule with the modern and spacious two-level fitness facility, which includes a floor of strength training equipment and a separate floor dedicated to cardiovascular fitness. Join a yoga class or aerobics class instructed by the on-staff personal trainers. If you prefer playing sports to get your heart rate up, book some time at the driving range, rock climbing wall, basketball court, or tennis court.

The sparkling outdoor pool is a peaceful retreat in the summer, with a swim-up bar and restaurant. In the winter, the pool becomes a dazzling ice rink for skating. Still want to swim in the winter? The indoor pool features an adult relaxation pool and two children's pools for playing and splashing. Don't leave this hotel without a luxurious traditional Korean body treatment at the spa. Additionally, you can buy the hotel's signature spa products at the Banyan Tree Gallery.

With over 10 different dining and drinking options on site, you won't have to travel far from your room for a meal, snack, or cocktail.

Romantic Luxury

Spacious and luxurious, guest rooms feature delicate woodwork accents, comfortable furnishings, and floor-to-ceiling windows with mountain views. Check your email or update your Facebook account using the free WiFi. Unwind at the end of the day with a drink and a soak in your own private relaxation pool. Looking for lots of space and privacy? Premier suites are the largest rooms on the property, and there are just two suites per floor.

The Bottom Line

Rooms at this resort are not cheap, but it offers outstanding service, views, and amenities. The similarly priced Park Hyatt Seoul hotel in the Gangnam district also features fine dining, modern rooms, a pool, a fitness center, and a spa. However, unlike the Banyan Tree Club & Spa, the Park Hyatt Seoul does not offer in-room relaxation pools.
