Stay in a Hotel That Was Once Home to a Painter

Book a Room in a Historic Place

During the second half of the 19th century, the Hotel San Cassiano Ca'Favretto was the home of Giacomo Favretto, a notable Venetian fine artist. Now, thanks to its convenient and beautiful location along the Grand Canal and adjacent to the Ca' d'Oro palace, the Hotel San Ca'Favretto is a tourist favorite.

Have a Satisfying Stay in Venice

During your time in this famous city, make sure to check out the San Giacomo dell'Orio, a church that dates back to the 9th century. The hotel is only 15 minutes from St. Mark's Square and five minutes from the Rialto Bridge. The Scuola Grande di San Rocco is a place to witness religious ceremonies in a place that features extravagant architecture. A buffet-style breakfast is included in the cost of your room, so be sure to enjoy it before embarking on a busy day of sightseeing.

An Inviting Space

Many rooms at the Hotel San Cassiano Ca'Favretto feature views of the canal or connecting side streets. The Venetian-inspired decor features red and gold hues that create a regal atmosphere. The bathroom includes a shower, plus complimentary toiletries, and a hair dryer to make your stay more convenient. Get refreshed at the minibar and settle back to watch a program on the satellite television. Wi-Fi is available for a reasonable fee.

Hipmunk Staff Review

Although the Hotel San Cassiano Ca'Favretto is near other options like the Carnival Palace Hotel, it has advantages like being pet-friendly and boasting the cultural significance of once being home to an artist. The property is also only 200 meters from the Rialto Market, meaning guests can stay only steps away from the action, while still enjoying a serene setting.

Time Out
Rooms are, on the whole, quite elegant. The airy breakfast room has huge windows overlooking the canal and there is a tiny but charming veranda right on the water
Its canal-front setting is certainly a highlight, with nearly all tourists attractions within walking distance --though it's not the easiest hotel to find on foot.
Rough Guide
Beautiful four-star with some rooms looking across the Canal Grande towards the Ca’ d’Oro. Has very helpful staff, a nice courtyard garden and a grand entrance hall.
