Expert Reviews
This hotel dates from 1876 but has delightfully retained its Old World atmosphere-mit-Schlag while also providing luxurious, modern-day comfort.
Condé Nast Traveler
"Charming and with an excellent location," this "very nice, old-world hotel" opened in 1876 across from the Vienna State Opera and was once a meeting place for Austrian nobility.
The Sacher was built in 1876; and despite recent improvements, partial rebuilding, and renovations which added 40 new rooms and a deluxe spa, it still has an air of Habsburg-era glory.
