St. Gregory Luxury Hotel & Suites: Serviced Accommodations Near GWU

What Sets The St. Gregory Hotel Apart?

A stay at the St. Gregory Luxury Hotel resembles a visit to a friend’s apartment. Self-service coin laundry, pantry kitchens in all suites, and complimentary shoe shining make the property feel like a deluxe condominium. Furthermore, this downtown D.C. hotel is ADA compliant and 100% smoke-free, making it the perfect choice for travelers with special needs.

Is It Centrally Located?

About three blocks away from George Washington University on M Street, this boutique hotel is the perfect base camp for families touring campus. Additionally, it is within walking distance of the Foggy Bottom and Farragut North Metro stops, as well as a variety of restaurants on Dupont Circle.

Likewise, the St. Gregory Luxury Hotel & Suites’ location is excellent for visits to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Embassy Row, Smithsonian Museums, the White House, and D.C. monuments.

Is It Affordable?

Out of 155 guest quarters, a little more than 100 are suites — further cementing this boutique hotel’s AAA four-diamond rating. They are best described as serviced apartments, having separate living areas and fully stocked pantry kitchens. Prices range from $160 for a cozier, standard room and up to $271 for a junior suite — averaging about $215 a night.

While rates are on par with other four-star properties in the downtown D.C. area, it’s unlikely you will find a fully serviced suite at that price point.

What’s the Bottom Line?

The St. Gregory Luxury Hotel & Suites is a fantastic value for families touring college campuses, travelers with special needs, and those planning to visit D.C. attractions around the DuPont Circle, Foggy Bottom, and Farragut North areas. A note to business travelers: while there is a charge for Internet access in your room, you may use the printers and computers at the on-site business center free of charge.

Expert Reviews
Business and leisure travelers alikse enjoy these spacious accommodations that include fully stocked kitchens and extra touches like turndown service.
The St. Gregory is an affordable luxury property, whose most recent renovation in January 2009 pushed decor toward a softly sophisticated but sexy look.
Check the website for stellar offerings, like the "Family Values" deals.
Its life-size Marilyn Monroe statue in the lobby is hot (the way some like it), but the 154 guest rooms in this Dupont Circle hotel feel more outdated business hotel than funky boutique.
