You’ll have to drive up the side of a mountain to get to Cold Spring Tavern, but the drive is completely worth it. Come on a Sunday to enjoy live music and one of the many unique beers on tap. Getting a table at this bar usually takes less than 15 minutes, even when it’s crowded. Do keep in mind that this bar doesn’t open until 5 p.m., so be sure to plan accordingly.

When it comes to enjoying the great outdoors, there’s no better way than by taking a nice, long hike along one of the many scenic trails in the area. One of the best hiking trails leads to Gaviota Hot Springs. This short, 1-mile hiking trail brings you to an amazing waterhole where you and the little ones can take a quick swim and cool off before making back the trek back down.
Are you interested in hiking through caves and catching great views of the ocean? If so, you’ll want to hike through Gavito Wind Caves. To enjoy the scenery around Lake Cachuma, take a hike on the 8.4-mile long path known as Tequepis Trail.
