You’re a savvy business traveler. You know how to filter for flights with the least amount of agony. You know how to search for and book the hotels you like to frequent. You know that tacking on a few days of fun after a business trip is a great way to maximize your time away from home. You also recognize that in business travel, as in your personal and professional life, there’s always more to learn. Best of all, your savvy has led you to the right place. Below are four of the most useful features for booking and managing your business travel—just in time to up your game for 2019.
Find your Right Flight right away
Earlier this year, Hipmunk launched its updated flight search design. This new search experience enables business travelers to view exactly what’s available on each flight, directly in their results. Ahead of booking your next flight, you’ll know if the plane is equipped with amenities that are important to you, like if there are outlets on the plane, if there’s Wi-Fi available (and if so, how much it costs), and even if there are snacks available for purchase.
So next time, when you’re booking a flight for a business trip, take the guesswork out of whether you can work from the plane (I spy outlets and Wi-Fi—score!) or whether you’ll have to swipe your corporate credit card for baggage fees—and choose the right flight for you.
FYI, hotels can be booked based on POI
As a leisure traveler, you’ve likely planned a trip based on a point of interest (POI)—like last year, when you took your family to San Diego to visit its world-famous zoo and booked a nearby hotel. On Hipmunk, you can easily do the same for planning your business trips.

Find flexibility with our Flex Dates feature
Flexible business travelers, this tip’s for you. Maybe after your job is done at SXSW, you want to spend a few days soaking in the rays by Lake Travis—if the flight price is right, of course. With Hipmunk’s Flex Dates feature, you can search multiple departure and arrival days to maximize your savings. Using the calendar in the search form, click on a date and drag your cursor over a three-day range. You can also manually add + or – up to two days to a specific date.

Finally, let’s talk managing your business travel. Open up your Hipmunk app and slide on over to your Account tab on the right.
