Tale of Two Cities: See where tourists (red) vs locals (blue) photograph SF (and more!)

Not surprisingly, the Mission (which I called home for almost 2 years) is the epicenter of local photography — a large hipster community will do that.

Tourists, on the other hand, love Union Square, North Beach, Fisherman’s Wharf, Alcatraz, and the Golden Gate Bridge. All what you’d expect, but so impressively rendered based on geotagged photos.

There are many more in this fabulous set from Eric Fischer, so visit his gallery on flickr. Discover what cities are almost entirely photographed by tourists and discover new places to photograph that only the locals know about — you’ll likely be surprised…
